Default Timing pointer missing?

so my engine is pingin in 4th gear on incline so i decided to check the timing and the pointer is missing... i have no idea where the timing might be..

now the question is can this be found on any 5.0 town cars, crown vic ..

on the hormonic balancer, and i probably spelt that wrong. at least on my car.

no on the block its a metal piece i think its held by two bolts



balancer is fine i see the lines and numbers!

looks like my whole bracket is missing with that .... is that interchangeble with other 5.0 models
