Default I need help!

I went to put fluid in my t5 through the shifter but the fluid is not going down, am i doing something wrong? does it matter were you poor it when you pull the shifter off? or does it need to go in the little ball thing? help!

Yeah i know that but
1) i thought you could pull the shifter and put fluid in that way
2) if thats wrong (which it seems like it is) how the **** are you supposed to get fluid in there?

Wait i filled my trans through my shifter

1 pull out fill plug
2 fill through my shifter
3 once oil leaks through the side of my tranny (fill plug) Cap it and stop
4 replace fill plug

They sell like these pumps with tubes that fit in that hole

Anyways I think you just overfilled it

Alright so thats what i thought and i am not an idiot but that brings me back to my first question, why is it not going down? I did pull the plug and nothing came out, there is no fluid in it because it is brand new. Does it matter where i poor the fluid through the shifter? or what am i doing wrong?
