Default Starter Problem

I have an 89 mustang. The starter on it keeps sticking, a friend said the silenoid is bad so I went out today and replaced that. Just now it did it again and this time it wouldn't release so I had to pull it home (thank god I was only 2 blocks away from home). Anyways I think that the starter is going bad but I am not sure?

Any help on this would be appreciated. I am getting sick of this thing sticking everytime I go to start it up and if it happens again some windows are going to be broken.

Thanks.

Sounds like a bad starter to me. Easiest way to tell if it really is the starter sticking, next time it does it, crawl under the car and give it a couple of good whacks with a small hammer, dont wail on it, but a couple of good whacks. If it starts up fine then the bendix inside of it is sticking and your starter needs to be replaced. Simple as that, no need to get all stressed out. When you do just step back for a sec and take a frustration break.

haha yeah I've already kicked the fender in. Good thing I was able to pop it out. The night it happened that is what I did a stepped away from the car and just started walking down the street. But yeah I think I'll just go out and replace the starter, I mean I can't think of anything it would be since the sileniod is brand new.

oh well its old if it fixs it then I'll be happy if it don't I don't know what I'll do.
