Tuesday I put in a newer tranny, low miles, old man driven, you get the idea. But i have pretty much the same problem as i did before. Now I dont know if i ****ed somthing up or what becuase now when i hit the clutch and TRY to put it in gear it rolls forward. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I really need to get this driving again because its my DD and dont need it sitting across the street again for another week. Please let me know if you know anything!!!!


The old problem::::: I try to put it in first but couldnt and had no reverse, but every other gear was fine. real real hard shifting!!!

 

hows the throwout bearing, clutch cable,and clutch quadrant.


and how is your shifter?

 

try adjusting your clutch, sounds like its no engaging all the way.

Yeah I had the same problem when I dropped in my new 5 speed tranny in, but the I used some sort of spacer where the clutch cable connects to the tranny and it was fine for awhile, but since I haven't replaced the throwout bearing 2nd gear is starting to grind a little bit.... quick question though..... Is there supposed to be some sort of spacer to where the clutch cable connects to the tranny of some sort?? Im not sure, but I was told it is... can anyone comment on that for me, and perhaps tell me the name for it, and where I could get it? Thanks.
