Default wierd problem

so tonight when I was driving home from the gym there are a few open roads so I thought I'd try some launching since I'm going to the track in a week. So I get a good first launch but try to power shift (not take my foot off the gas) into second, and the motor bogs hard! Almost like the rev limiter kicked in, and it runs real rough for a couple seconds, and then its fine again. So, thats exactly what I thought happend, so I did it again, and shifted way sooner just in case and it did the same thing. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix that?

The ECU might be sensing that youre at full throttle with no load, and cuts the gas so you dont blow the motor.
As for the shifting, practice speed shifting using the clutch, I guarantee youll be just as fast if not faster. I've gotten my shifting down to where most people I race think Im in an automatic w/ a shift kit, they dont believe me untill they look in my car.

there in lies a problem. I'm still not sure If my balancer is showing correct timing, I replaced it, and its the closest its ever been, and if its right, its at about 16 on 89 octane, but I have the msd adjustable timing control, so If i need to turn it down its not biggy. But no pings in high rpms, I got that fixed after I installed my MSD 6a box
