What engine oil do you use?
any oil with an API stamp on the back of the bottle is good for your engine. 10w30 or 5w30. The only difference in different brands, is the addatives the companies put in theyre oil, which differ very little. So dont waste 5 dollars a quart on a top brand, when you can get murrays brand for 99 cents.
I use royal purple (not sure the exact type) and on the leaks part yes it is true but if your motor has been well taken care of then you should be ok. also if you the same type you have always used in the car then you will be fine as different oils stick in different places as they are used, so putting in a different oil with different cleaning and lube characteristics will free up the old oil and cause smoking.
to raw gt power that stamp is mostly only for gas mileage government requirements not how good the oil is. secondly quaker state and penzoil id never use because you look on penzoil and theres the time released molecule and all that does liek quaker state is crystalize like sugar and gum up your engine over time. and last i use mobil syntec 10w30
