Default Nitto DR's?

I'm looking at getting some Nitto DR's? I was looking at the 555r's and they look pretty good. Does anybody have any feedback on them? Do they launch good? Are they decent enough for the street?

Anything.

I just wanna know if they're worth the money. I know Nitto's are pretty popular among Mustang.

I really like mine, and Ive noticed a major difference in traction off the line. This is my first pair so Im not sure yet how long they will last.

i would pass....i would go mickey thompson et street radials.

i see guys cutting 2.2's at the track on nittos....i used to able to cut 2.0 on reg street tires...i cut 1.75's on my mickeys.

i have an extra set of ponies....and swap them out for the weekends, takes 10 minutes, and hooks like the gortons fisherman.

I love mine. Nittos will cut 1.6 60's when used properly and will outlast every other drag radial that i know of. My friend was pulling 1.8s on a stock suspension w/ gears. They also broke his stock axles... so yeah, they hook. They're also pretty cheap. I have 3 heat cycles on mine plus a few miles on em and they still look very new. Apparently the trick is to heat them in 2nd gear until the smoke turns a bluish color; then they're ready to go.

I have about 10k on mine. Still some life left on them. Mostly street driven. They hook ok at the track, 1.9 60' so far. (not much track time) They are a very good tire for the street. My next set though will be some ET streets. I'm never out in the rain.

cool good to hear, like i said i never drove on them.

these mickeys are the first radial cheater i have ever used, and was worried about them from past stories. guys that couldn't hook on bfg's or nitto's...

but some people can, i have seen wheel stands on bfg's on cars going 9's, just tricky i guess.
