Well. my car has decided to rev its self when im at stop lights... (not good next to a cop...) what could be causing it?
All i do is stop, take it out of gear and then it goes off on its own

 

might want to check voltage at the TPS. proper voltage should be between .7 and 1.2 vdc.
also you may want to check codes. How to Check Codes

its not funny dude. i have an o/r h pipe... if he wanted to he could roll down his window and smelllllllllll the gas... i was praying he wouldnt

 

Does it Idle then rev then idel and rev the whole time. It may be a vaccum leak. Just and idea.

How high did it rev? check to see if you TB is sticking, then TPS, then IAC, and lastly MAF.

 

well it revs up to about 2k from 800-900. then it will fall/rise randomly.
TPS and IAC= what?

 

TPS - Throttle Position Sensor
IAC - Idle Air Control valve
