Default PISSED!!!!!!!!!!

Engine overheating thought it was the thermostat, tested it and its not, looked at the oil...wasnt very dark, didnt even look like there was fluid in the the thermostat, fluid was bubbling in the radiator then throwing fluid out the overflow...mind you I just had the heads ported and new head gaskets with the mods you see...tried to burp it and fluid was leaking somewhere, am I screwed or what? Any help guys? Is there a way to test my water pump?

if you look at the water pump you should see a little hole. im told if theres something wrong with the water pump, like the bearings or seals, water should come out of the hole, if not, then in theory your water pump is fine. also if you running only water, its an iron block so it could be rust clogging the radiator and thus clogging the whole system. if that is the case, try a radiator flush

Had a mechanic look at it yesterday and he said he couldnt find anything wrong but he did say there was a little buildup in the radiator, I am running a mix 50/50 of coolant also

see if you have any play in your water pump shaft, see if you can push or pull it in and out. If so, its shot. Go with Weiland or Milodon as a replacement, they're nice sturdy ones. If you put your head gasket on backwards, its very very easy to do, it would cause major overheating and such syptoms. Good luck man.

you dident specify if this started right after u ported the heads, because if it dident happen before, then i think its safe to assume that something was done wrong
