I noticed that the injectors can be rotated 180 degrees while installed, does anyone know if it matters which way they face, I ask because I rotated #5 to get the solenoid out of the way to install a new ACT sensor, car ran poorly untill I rotated it back, I'm thinking spray pattern is circular and position shouldn't matter

 

that's odd

 

seems to me you already proved that the postion matters when you reversed one and it didn't run right until you put it back to the original position. you could always call the ford tech line at 586-468-1356 and ask the experts about this too.
