No, put it where the heater lines oringinaly went into the intake, you know the metal tubing that runs from the front of the motor back to the heater hoses on the passager side. That piping also has the front coolant line on it for the egr spacer. I think that the CTS will bolt right in that hole after you remove that piping.

I wish that I could just get rid of those god damned metal coolant tubest that run right above the passenger side of your lower intake manifold, they're a pain in the ass! lol. But I just put some bolts in the EGR coolant lines, clamped them down and hid them, really cleans things up, I need some caps to put on the lines that run into the EGR spacer to make it look a little bit better.

your intake will be much hotter with the coolant line disconnected from the throttlebody. hot egr gasses flow through your intake manifold even with your egr stuff removed (unless you block it off at the port in the lower intake) and without the coolant to cool it down it will be very hot. just my .02

That is very true, but the coolant doesn't cool the intake just the spacer. I removed all my egr and smod stuff, but kept the coolant hoses and spacer(whynot) and the other day I was messing with my main harness plug and noticed that the clip that hold it to the intake was kind of burnt cus the intake gets so much warmer(hotter with the egr gone then with it there). Honesly I would consider putting my egr back on if I didn't already remove the vacume selinoids and crap, also have to buy a new egr.....there is no gains to remove the egr anyway, just more headaches. I wouldn't even bother...JMO
the coolant is there to help heat the incoming air in cold weather...when you pull them the engine light will come on.. sometimes...pull the coolant sensor ,put in a plug wrapping the sensor in aluminum foil and place back in the intake this will trick the 'puter to richen up the mix and the car will be a tick quicker
