I need help with a starting problem
I have a 90 mustang with a 306, full msd ignition, blaster coil, new starter, and a new seliniod. When I turn the key over the selinoid clicks rapidly and the starter doesn't seem th engage the flywheel. Could it possably be the ground on the selinoid. Any help or ideas would really help. Thanks.
eh, could be the bendix isn't kicking out on starter, just cause its new doesn't mean its good you know. I'd do some quick checks just to make sure you're getting fire, pull coil wire, and plug wire. then I'd bypass msd. I'd also just push in the needle on the schrader valve just to be certain there's fuel. Then, I'd do an injector pulse test with a test light, Pull the injector, stick the test light in, and turn it over, if you have no blinking light, its the processor inside your dizzy not sending signal to the injector to realese fuel might as well replace the whole dizzy.. That will all take like 5 minutes to do those tests, and if its all good, then its probalby starter.
