Hey everyone,

Greg here. New to the Mustang world. Been wanting one for years and came across a 95 GT in 95% condition and I just had to buy it.

What I want to do is put some new wheels and tires on it but before I do, I figured I'd ask you all here since you guys will definitely have the answer..

Question is, What are the biggest Wheels/Tires I can put on my 95 GT without having wheel rub, etc?

Any and all comments will be appreciated. I'll try to get some pics up pretty soon.

dont go bigger than 17 ich rims...i think you nca put 10.5 inch on the rear , 9 in the front.

Thanks. I just want to make sure that I can put 10.5 on the back and have clearance.....

Right now it's riding on stock wheels with 225-55-16's on it (I think those #'s are right. Going off Memory)

I have found a set of Mustang Bullitt wheels 17x9 & 17x10.5 on eBay for $489...

Could someone please help me out with some tire sizes and also I want to make sure that I can go as wide as a 10.5 in the rear.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the rear, but I do know that the front will hold a size 245, which a 9" rim will fit on. It may rub a little, but apparently not too bad b/c a lot of people do that on our cars.

I think that 275s will fit on the rear w/o removing the quad shocks, but I'm not 100% sure. However, the 275s will accomodate a 10.5 rim.

Nice car, btw. I have a 94 GT myself. It's nice to see more SN-95ers out there

 

you could fit 315's on the back with no modification...jonbeast has 315's on his 17x9 wheel and his car is lowered, he also has 275's up front on a 17x9....ad i am running 17x9 and 17x10.5 with 275, and 315 tires....no rubbingand looks reallllly good IMO good choice on chroem bullits they look real good

I think I'm going to go with the 17x9 and 17x10.5 and run the 315's on the rear and probably 275's on the front....

if u put that 315 out back u might have to remove ur quad shocks to make it fit. and if ur car is completely stock or u don't have a good suspension it won't launch as well

 

i think 10.5" w/ a 315 looks too big, i saw one w/ that and it was sticking out past the fenders [:'(] I also think 18" wheels look good on the SN95s, so id say go with 17s or 18s with 9" wide front and 10" wide rear. Thats my $.02
