Default Drag Radial owners, HEEELLPP!!!

okay, i'm about to purchase my first set of DR's for my 95gt. what would you suggest? i've looking at the Mickey Thompson et streets, BFg DR's, or the Nitto 555's. i'm leaning toward the BFg because of some of the reviews i've read. my cars a daily drive so i need something that will get more than a 1000 miles and i won't die in the rain. any suggestion, comments, opinions and ramblings will be MUCH appreciated. thanks ya'll

Ok here it is. The mickeys will be the best for the track but will suck for the street. And won't last too long. The nittos will be great for the street but soso at the track. They will out last as a street d/r. The Bf's are like the middle of the road. You don't want to get caught in the rain w/ any of them but the nittos will perform the best in that situation. They will also give you the longest life tire for tire. I have about 10 k on mine and still have tread, However, the next set I buy will be ET streets.

I wouldn't get mickey thompson et streets for a daily driver. I nearly killed myself with those things, I spun through 4 lanes of traffic and into a field when it started raining all of a sudden. Also the et streets are bias ply and really squerly on the road with there large sidewall.

They were referring to the ET Street RADIAL, not the regular ET Street.

I have to agree with Bernie for the most part. The Nitto is the hardest compound DR, which is why the last the longest and hook the least. The BFG is a great median choice, as it hooks well yet isnt going to wear out in a week (unless you do lots of smokey burnouts), the MT is the softest, hooks HARD but will wear out quicker than the rest. As long as any of them have visible grooves in them, I would not hesitate to drive them in the rain.

I had BFG drag radials for about 6 months before i needed new ones. I am currently running BFG KDW's. If you want a good drag radial that isn't as sticky as the BFG's but will last longer go with the Nitto's

Im really satisfied with my BFG drag radials, they really stick to the pavement once their good and warm. But like some others have said, they wont give you years of service.
