I was wondering how much horsepower my 95 cobra mustang can take with the stock engine and stock tranny. I has the 5.0L and the T-5 in it??? how much power can it take and would i need to do nething special to make about to take that a lotta hp... i wanna kno my limit be4 i start throwin more ponies under the hood

well the Gt's have 225......... i could be waaaay outta line and dont take my word for it but for some crazy reason im thinking like 305? maybe

 

im pretty sure the gts put out 215 and i kno hte cobras but out 240 but thats not what i was wondering i wanted to kno how much hp the engine can take

 

the engine can take 5-550 but thats the block. ur pistons won't last that long unless u make them forged. the tranny i couldn't tell but i wouldn't say more than 350 before u might wanna start worrying about it

 

i am gettin a s/c gears and headers in a 2weeks that im hoping will put my cobra up to 400ish with a nice tuno and mayb a chip and i wanna go new midpipe and catbak and methanoal injection and the a lil engine work pistions cam heads intake... then i need a new tranny ... u said 5-550 on block which is what im shooting for rite now... but u dont think a T-5 can take more than 350?? if a T-5 can what tranny will.... got a 5speed and would like to keep it a 5 speed

 

like a tko 500-600 or have ur stock tranny sent off to g-force.com gforce tranny are insane its what i want. but if u wanting to do all of that i would recommend doing the internals before u do of it. but that tranny should hold up a lil while with the supercharger it just depends on the boost u wanna run. but if ur motor is stock i wouldn't run more than 8psi because of the pistons

 

yea its a 6-8psi vortech i havent heard nething bad about it so hopefully it will please me... u think i should go after interanal before i add a hole lotta other stuff... exhuast is next in line just becuase i want a new sound and i heard it mite very up a lil more hp from the s/c as well... but would u say internals next?

 

exhasut wouldn't hurt but as soon as u get that supercharger on ur going to want more hp. and all ur going to have to do is swap a pulley to up the boost and i think it could hurt the motor. so i would say upgrade the internals and then ur motor will be pretty much set for everything else u have planned out for ur car.

 

as far as internals go what do i all need... and ya you rite a smaller pulley was defentaly in the picture... lol... but ill take the advice and get he internals first... what u think i need??
