hot engine...why!!!!

i changed intake ,throttle body ,distributor, msd box and headers. after everything i noticed my headers were glowing red. i adjusted timming to 10 degrees.

Maybe try a new thermostat?

What is the temp guage reading?

Sounds to me like you are running VERY lean, what are your other mods and what's your fuel pressure set at?

the intake manifold has a very touchy procedure and bolt pattern you MUST follow when you tighten it down, if the procedure is not followed for upper or lower manifold, you will not establish a proper seal.


In your case unmetered air is entering your engine, causing your headers to glow red, and is unacceptable.
