Ok i have an 88 gt that had a blown motor. So i swapped with another 89 i had laying around. The computer is from the 89 too and i was converted to mass air. I removed the a/c and smog pump from the motor before i put it in. When i started it, it was idiling kind of rough, but then when i drove it, it was like sputtering and running extremely rough when i tried to accelerate. My guess is it has to be a vacuum leak or something somewhere. But does anyone have an idea of what lines i need to plug when i removed the smog pump, or if they think i might have forgot something somewhere? Any input helps. Thanks

 

it could be the timing. did you bump the distributor and possible turn it? and when you removed the smog pump did you block off the hoses?

 

im pretty sure it isnt the timing cuz i didnt touch that. but i will check it anyway. and should i just block off every house that was involved with the smog?

 

You'll need to plug the back of the heads, the H pipe, the vacuum lines running to the EGR stuff and the spacer.
