Default PROBLEM with electronics

I have had this problem on and off for awhile now. My car won't start. It's a 94 GT and I have changed out the batt., alternator, ground cable from the batt. to the block, and now I changed out the starter. Now the damn cr won't start. All the electrical stuff in the car works fine ie..radio, windows and so on. I am at a loss. I have taken the volt meter to some things and it seems as though voltage is getting to all the right places. I fanyone has any suggestions please let me know.
I am getting really frustrated.

Default RE: PROBLEM with electronics

your car needs 4 things to run

fuel
air
compression
and spark

does the engine crank and not start? or does it not even crank?

if it cranks:

check fuel pressure.
check spark.
check compression.

if it doesnt crank

check your starter relay
make sure your battery has atleast 10 volts, your starter needs atleast 9 to safely operate without damaging anything, or so says the instructions that come in the box

I had the electrical system replaced in my 1994 GT back in 2004 and everything was working fine until Jan 2006; Mach460 front amp is no-longer passing low-frequencies to the rear amps and replaced the starter and alternator in 2005... It still looks new, and, I decided to trade it off on a 2005 Mustang GT w/4525 miles. It looks like our cars were built on a Monday or Friday.

Assuming a starter not activating problem.....

Here's a tip:

Remove the starter relay from the engine compartment fuse/relay box....

Look at the relay socket terminals configuration, it should look similar to the pinout diagram on the RH side in the pic below....

If you momentarily place a jumper wire on the terminals id'ed as 30 & 87 (use the terminals orientation or the relay prongs numbers to id the terminals)...the starter should activate....if it does, the problem may be a faulty neutral/clutch pedal switch or, the ignition switch......do you have a starter cutoff alarm system installed?.....

Before I replaced the started it would click when I tried to turn it over but now it won't even do that. Who knows maybe it has something to do with the clutch.

Update!!!! I tried jumpering the relay manually and nothing happened. When I tried to start the car with the key you can here the relay activating so that sounds as if it working. I tested the voltage from the batt. to the solenoid and it is around 12.5. I had the starter tested just to make sure and that is good. I heard some clicking from what looks like the computer module on the radiator overflow tank, when my dad was trying to turn it over with the key. Any thoughts????????

Well I switched out the ignition switch(not the key), and all was fine and dandy for about 5 starts and now I am back to nothing again. This really sucks I thought I had this nipped in the budd. I can't figure this out because all my gauges aren't working now either.

Well problem solved. Can you believe a little black wire that isn't grounded properly can cause that many problems. God I hate electronics on cars.
