Default timing

ok what is the most i should safely have my timing set at on a 93 50. i had it set at 14 and didnt wan tto go any more, also i have a problem with it hesitating for a sec as soon as i hit the gas, do u guys know that thing on the egr spaqcer, its black and u are suppose to be able to turn it to solve this problem. do u knoe the name of it, and how do i adjust it thanks a lot!!!

Throttle position sensor. Do a search for it, there's plenty of threads with instructions on them, I'm done it at least two or three times myself.

I'd like to calibrate my tps too anyone know which thread? 14 is fine, try another if your car is responding well with 14, if it pings at 15 leave it back at 14. Mines at 14 and I haven't tried more. That hesitation is like your tps voltage if youve got your timing up that far already...

you put the positive lead from a multimeter on the green wire and ground the negative. At closed throttle it should read between .9 and .99. Mine is set closer to .99. To adjust it you loosen the two screws and turn it to change the reading.
