Default Strange electrical problem??

I've got a mostly stock '89 5.0 GT.

The other day I was backing out of a parking spot, didn't give it enough gas and stalled it... dumb, but it happens. Strange things happened after I started it back up. None of the electrical accessories would work (lights, windows, door locks, stereo, etc.), except for the dash "check engine" and "brake" lights were on. In addition to that, when I put the clutch pedal all the way to the floor it made a very loud scraping/whining noise. It still went into gear and drove OK, with the exception of excessive backfiring when I let off the gas. I had it towed to the local mechanic shop to have the codes read. By the time he got to it the next day, everything worked again, check engine light was off - no codes or problems.

I'd appreciate any ideas yall may have on this.

haha same **** happenes to me sometimes
on my 89 the key gets stuck forward a little so pull the key back there will be a little click when you pull it back cuz its stuck there. just dont pull it too hard or you will move the key too much and shut the car off.
