Default would this fix it

well ive been looking for a 5.0 cause i should be getting one soon, trying to find something not so expensive so i can have money left to mod it. I was looking at this it says Mustang needs new transmission (cluster cylinder locked up), and i was wondering if i could just get a Trannsmission rebuild kit for it and fix the problem if not, i can get a t-5 for not to much, but itd be nice to be able to fix the problem for $250 rebuild kit
