Default Alternator Question

Well since i got my car back from the shop with my new engine install. It tends to die in hot weather when the fan kicks in. I have to keep reving it up to keep it alive until i take off. Now since my year stang came equipped with 3g alternator, what upgraded alternator will keep my car running when my fan kicks on?

Maybe it's just the alt ahs gone bad and an upgrade may not be needed. Have it checked out first.

I replaced mine with a Duralast 160 amp from Autozone.
After a couple years I fried it during a drag race, but replacements are free for life.
I didn't even need my receipt... it was in their computer system.
I think it was around $150.

Can anyone tell me if a 95 amp from PA will do the trick for low voltage....I see everyone talking about 130amp but would a 95 one do? it's about 50 bucks cheaper.

Just a noobie question while i'm at it. What is 3G? and are all the PA altenators 3G's. Was wondering looking at 50 resto and says 130 amp ...not to sure if 3G's but in the accesory section show 3G conversion wire. Do I need this?
