I have a 86 5.0 lx EFI for the past month my 5 liter has been bogging out when ever i floor it the it well go up to 3500 rpm or sumtimes lower it does it randomly but most at high rpms and then it start to boggin out like the fuel is being cut or sumthing . I changed the fuel filter which was old and cloged and i just chaned the injecters today and it still does it iono wat it could be u think it could b the MSD box the i have on there thats making it do that its a 6A. Thats my only guess so if sum1 could help ill appreciate it THANX

I would install a 190 lph pump..I bet the fuel pump sock is dirty

+ 1 on the timing, especially if you just bought it. When I got mine, it was retarded like 15 degrees, and I had to take the distributor completely out to be able to adjust it back where it should be. The previous owner had a turbo setup on it, but he kept that, but I do still have the intercooler! The problem I was having sounds alot like yours, it bogged when I floored it, like it was starved for fuel.

I found out wat problem was. It was the msd once i took it off and drove my car the bogging problem went away. I guess the msd was cuting the coil off at high rpm iono but its fixed now. Aite Thanx
