Why 5 lug

Why 5 lug
Just wondering what are the benefits of swaping 4 lug to 5 lug. Is it just for more rim choices. Also, why do guys like to replace 28 to 31 spline and c clip eliminators. In case you are wondering, the answer is "yes" I am new to mustang scene.

Ok, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords lies then..." I suggest going with the five-lug conversion. Advantages are, of course, the wheel options, but most importantly it adds strength and better brake options" pg. 40 - Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Volume 19, Issue 6

Would you guys suggest buying a kit or looking for a donor car. I am from Hawaii so shipping kills me. Wanna hear a funny story? I bought a speedo gear from steeda. part cost $16. Shipping cost $22 and took 5 days.
