The X-pipe is a more of a raspy sound, whereas the H-pipe is deeper. If you're going to buy an X-pipe with cats, let me know, I may be trying to sell my old BBK pipe. I haven't decided whether or not I want to keep it for down the road, but if you're interested, make me an offer

i personally hate the sound of catted H's or X's ... i say either leave it stock and quite, or go all out ballsy and do the catless systems. the systems with cats (to me anyway) just sound too weak. it's like you're trying to get in the game and play, but you're afraid you'll get hurt so you hold back.

no offense if you like catted systems ... i just think they're too tame for the sound and money.

I've got a hi-flow catted X-pipe for sale, less than 1000 miles on it. Fits shorty headers. PM me if you're interested

same here in VA. i dont want that fine. now, its rare that you will get pulled to get the fine but i still dont want to risk it. i could care less about a little sound decrease. mines loud enough as it is!!! i'd go with the x pipe.

If your going to go with flowmasters, i'd stick to an H pipe. the flow has such an open sound that the x will make it sound like garbage (more so then flowmasters already do). I personally like my X pipe in that it gives my stang a unique sound since all the local stangs have H pipes, however I am considering swapping out to an H when I install my 351.

please flowmaster doesn't sound like garbage on these cars. it's an attention grabber exhaust, which is what i like. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However hearing alot of different exhaust types on mustangs, i find they all sound the same. You will always know when a mustang is coming
