Default Equal Length Headers

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the install of equal length headers, i currently have shorty headers but they are getting rusty and ugly, i am looking to replace them and i thought that equal lengths would look great under that hood. How difficult will it be to put them bad boys in there?

Ohh, this sounds like a good one for OB to answer

I'll give you a hint....they're not as easy as shorties to put on. [:@]

ok thats not going to stop me. in muscle mustangs they did it and they had to lifet one side of the engine a couple of inches to fit them in and i am perfectly cappable of doing this, i was just wondering what they mean by saying that you may have to modify spark plug wires what the hell does that mean

Long tubes are a snap Egual length meaning each tube is the same length are impossible to put in without removing steering, and lifting the motor, most equal length headers are custom made and come in sections to make it easier.

I think bobby hit that directly on the head. I've got equal length BBK shorty headers on my 94 5.0... yes it took some work, but it was worth it. That's pretty much the exact procedure I followed (you figure some stuff is different cuz of the body styles and a possible location change of parts). Go for it man!
