my low fuel light started blinking tonight... anybody know what that means.. i have an 86 gt.. and it has the lil car display with the different collar led's on it.. any help wuld be greatly apreciated.

no, if i'm low on fuel then it comes on and stays on... i had over a half of a tank in it when this happened... it's basicly on.. but blinks from dim to bright.. and it is a steady bright,dim,bright,dim.. like it's blanking basicly... didnt know if anybody has heard of this before or delt with it and if so what was it.

 

uuuhhh it only turns on when you have low fuel not blinks....

maybe the light is going out??? i dunno. i know that when blinker lights go out they blink all fast like crazy...

 

It could be the sensor in the tank. Does your gas gauge move when the happens?

 

no. it didnt move at all when it happened.
