I got that RAM air kit on my car with the mass air flow conversion kit too. And today had to drive thru a big rain storm. Now my stang is blowing black smoke and choking at low speeds and not idling at all. But If I open the throttle wide open It runs good, suggesting That my computer is just dumping way too much fuel, right? Will water ruin a MAF sensor, or what do you guys think might be to blame?

 

could have just dirtied the MAF... clean the wires with carb cleaner and a q tip. unplug the neg. battery cable for 30 minutes and then back in. you should be good.

 

I cleaned the MAF with starter fluid. But I did not unplug the battery to reset the comp. I let it sit for about 5 hours. Went and started it up and it idled fine until it got warm and then I suppoese the computer kicked in.
