Default Header Install?

My friend just picked up a set of bbk shortys and we are gonna install them saturday. I didnt do the install on mine because I got them around the same time my blower was getting done. So I was wondering if there are any tricks to make the install easier?

umm..........pretty basick stuff... just remember where the spark plug wires go so you dont screw up the firing order.... other than that pretty simple!

Pull the plug wires off of the plugs, after twisting the boot back & forth. Otherwise, you risk pulling the terminal end off & having more $ to spend....
Number the plug boots with a Sharpe black perminent pen, starting on the passenger side front of the motor(#1).
Pull the plugs out if you want to be really careful, lack experience, or run into problems wit the fitment. One slip & broken porcelyn may occurr....
Expect to massage the oil dipstick tube. Careful bending is all that is needed.....
Expect to remove the flimsy & most likely dry rotted plastic vacuum lines on the passenger side of the motor. Be prepared & have some 1\8" vacuum hose from the parts store ready should you "snap" one.....

That should be enough info to make you "dangerious".....

most likely will have to unbolt the h pipe and slide it back to get the header bolts to match up to it.

you can try and chase it with a thread tapper

take the header off, and try and start the bolt with nothing in the
way. make sure threads are ok first, then try again

just be patient with it.
