His car is a 6speed ls1 camaro with a lid and a cutout on Nitto's.
We ran from a 45-50roll, keep in mind i have a 4.30 gear plus i'm on a crappy all season tire and the same stock clutch that has been in the car since 92.
my car is super weak down low like under 4grand, i'm guessing tuning is way out of whack. anyway we went, i laid into it and as usual my car broke up bad, then hit rpm and broke the tires loose, at this point i was pulling a car. I lifted a little and got back into it and it hooked, my shiftlight hit at 5900 and i powershifted into 4th and it broke the tires loose again for a solid second. right after i shifted i looked back in my rear view and had a clear sight of his front end and was still pulling so i let out around 3grand.
when all was said and done i say it was a good 3 cars.
even with my car not tuned, running like crap, plugs were fouled out from before when i was trying to tune it etc. but what gets me is he is running around telling everyone my car really isnt all it is cracked up to be because his ls1 "hung".
i have a full suspension mustang with a 4.30 gear. it is a drag car. he has an ls1 which is a high rpm higher hp motor STOCK!
my question is for being un tuned and not having a car geared to do highway pulls, did my car do pretty damn good? or should i have walked away harder?
