Default Bad Vibration

I found out on friday(at the drag strip) that I have a bad vibration at 80mph and up. Being as it does it in 3rd and 4th at that speed and above I have narrowed it down to the driveshaft or rearend. I noticed the "limited slip" doesnt really work on it... maybe thats causing it? any input is apreciated...

How did you narrow it down to that? Just curious to know what you have already eliminated and how. Any chance the tires are bad (need t be balanced.. or possibly cupped?.)

When I say "bad vibration" I mean bad enough to knock the exhaust system loose. Plus they are brand new BFGs that are balanced.

Damn that is bad. Make sure your driveshaft isnt bent, or doesnt have a dent or anything in it. Then check ur rotors, if one is warped its going to make the car vibrate. Where exactly is it coming from? Can you feel it come up through the steering wheel or what? Under your *** in the seat, does the back of the car vibrate?

Its comming from the rear, also its drums so that shouldnt be an issue. I guess I'll order an aluminum driveshaft today and eliminate that.

You sure the tire guys at the shop balanced the tires right? It may be fine in low speeds but up at higher speeds they'll vibrate. Also sometimes the tires will get out of round while they're stacked in ware-houses and they'll never be the same again, my moms 4runner had this problem once. She got an out of round tire of Sams and it always vibrated, eventually they gave up on trying to re-balance the tire and just gave her another one.
