Default engine light

Engine light is on and has been since I bought the car 6months ago.

The smog pump is bypassed and the tube that goes to the header is sawed off and slodered shut...............

The transmission guy who re-built my trans said he could not pull codes on it. The car shifts early (AOD-E) and the convertor engaes early as well. I just want it to work right before I put my stall and shift kit in it..........

Can anyone shed any light on this issue? I spoke to one mechanic and he said if you change the valve body it ****s it all up.....any ideas??

your mechanic is retarded. Go to autozone and buy a tester it's 29 bucks. DO IT YOURSELF

If you go to autozone, they can pull the codes for free and tell you what they are.

actually autozone does not pull codes on OBDI's. it will give you a number then you look in the book for the number and that is your problem.
