Default headers

are the stock headers coated in ceramic? if not, why does everyone make a big deal abou the heat of crome headers? will crome ones make the engine compartment that much hotter?

Default RE: headers

stock are not...and nobody makes a big deal about chrome headers heat, i dont think. its just that ceramic can handle alot more heat than chrome, so the finish will last longer.

Default RE: headers

i couldnt care less about what they look like. as long as its not going to make it so hot under the hood the engine ends up making less power then with the stock headers

Default RE: headers

then just get the cheapest long tubes you can get, and wrap them in header wrap to reduce under hood temps
