What a coincidence, I was telling one of the guys I work w/ about this stuff earlier. I've used it in my ranger, bronco, mustang, lightning, ,and even my dodge neon, and I absolutely love the stuff. I have a case in my garage right now actually, and it may have cost me 80 bucks but it's worth every penny. At least try it once and see it can't hurt anything, and it's only about 5-6 dollars per quart so it's a little more pricey but worth it.

Hey guys....my dad has worked on oil rigs his whole life. He said before royal purple came to the automotive industry they were the TOP DOGS in the oil field. He said they drained engines after having them with this stuff and it ran for 24 hrs without any issues...............

I have been putting the sythetic stuff in but will start putting the purple after I need an oil change

That's exactly what I was wondering! I had to buy mine online since there weren't any speed shops where I live. Online I paid $9.99 per quart [:@]

I'm not the biggest fan of Royal Purple, but that may have been my own fault. When I recently changed the gear oil in my 94 GT (I have a posi btw), I put Royal Purple in there thinking that I didn't friction modifier b/c RP has the modifier additive (plus the fact that the bottle says no additives needed). I damn near burnt out the differential b/c the modifier wasn't in there - I know this b/c I drained the RP out and replaced it with Mobile 1 synthetic and actual friciton modifier mixed in, and I haven't heard any metal-on-metal clanking yet.

Take that for what it's worth though.

So basically, when I get my gears installed. Use RY AND a bottle of FR friction modifier? Do you use one bottle or two?
