Default powershift?

ive never heard of the term "powershift." Is it shifting without pressing the clutch in. is it bad for your transmission?

---Great tech advice!

Powershifting is shifting without taking your foot off the gas. Yes, you still use the clutch. You just need to be really fast to powershift.

As for it being bad for the trans...It depends on who you ask. It probably is, but I'm sure it's not as hard on it as people make it out to be. Unless you're really a fast shifter, then I probably wouldn't do it.

Its no harder on your tranny than dumping the clutch to do a burnout or to launch, as long as you don't miss a gear that is

Even if you miss the gear, it's just going to hit the rev limiter. By the time you miss the gear, you know it. Just get out of it then. Your run is over.

For alot of people thats the case, but I was referring to grinding the hell outta the tranny - or some people that shift into 1st on the 2-3 shift (seen it) and back to second on the 3/4 shift (seen it).
