Default Tires

Fellas, I've got to buy tires tomorrow. Do any of you have any opinions or knowledge about Federal Tires? They are in stock at my local tire store. Just about everything else will have to be ordered.

Federal? never heard of them. Do want a performance tire are do you want something that gets you from a to b. If you want performance look into the BFGoodrich KDW2's. I got them and love them, they handle amazingly well and look awesome. Check my cardomain to see how they look. If do get a performance tire get a price quote from tirerack.com and see if your local shop will match it.

I had never heard of them either. I said "what else do you have, I need a good performance tire". He then tells me that Federal is a great tire with tests to back it up. He is probably just trying to sell me what is in stock. Unfortunately, I need something tomorrow.

Good tire? I was quoted 437.00 total 245/50R16. I thought the price was reasonable-just didn't know anything about the tire. Thanks. By the way BlackLX, when I bought my stang it had Kuhmos. I hate em. No traction, lots of road noise.
