So I went out with some friends last night, didnt have the car, and one a guy I know that was there was raggin on my car. Saying his GTP Grand Prix (which is the supercharged version) would walk all over my car, and keep in mind his is bone stock with at least some major oil issues (smells like burnt oil whenever he comes around). He hasn't ever rode in it and everyone I was with that has just kinda laughed at him. We were supposed to "compare" them today but it started freaking raining AGAIN. Sorry, just found some humor in all of this, I only have a couple days to put him in his place (in my rearview) before he heads down to texas.

quick. a stock 5.0 mustang will beat a GTP they run a 15 flat in the quarter. mine ran 14.8 when it was stock. Now I have a "little bit" more go under the hood, aka Fresh rebuild 308ci with a H/C/I...but i dunno could be a close race against a stock 3.8L supercharged 3500lb 4 door car with an automatic.

 

Yeah I have a friend w/ a gtp, too bad he didn't race me for pinks, cause I'd have a gtp by 2sec

 

like stated above stock vs. stock the stang wins. and you should win now that you have some more under the hood. Kick his *** good

 

What year GTP? My boy has a 2002 2 door that runs 14.10's. Beat my stock motored 5.0 by 2 cars in the quarter, and I was leaving at 6,000 on drag radials. He would drive around me at the top. Before you say anything look all that is done to my car before you ask me...why where you leaving at 6,000 RPM's? Because my car is set up to do so. But now I have "some" work done to the motor and with my suspension set up I bitch slap him.

btw i love ur vert in ur pic. i gotta 92 GT vert AOD and i just recently ran a 15.007 at our "local" track (2 1/2 hours away). anyways my buddies parents just bought a supercharged GTP and we've been wanting to race 4 a while , i know my car was like almost the slowest 5.0 made from the factory but i pulled off a 15 flat with my bolt ons. but i was just wondering close race or what ? his GTP is also AOD if its going to come down to being that close ? just wondering if i should wait till after the winter to race him when i got my trick flow heads and 410 gear put in to race him ? thanks alot guys
