Default GOOD site for Cylinder Heads?

What do ya think about this?

I found this in 5.0 Magazine, [URL=http://www.tristatecylinderhead.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=41] This is Tri State Cylinder Head Inc. They Have the GT40P built for $540.00 a pair.

5.0 High Swirl Alum heads $550.00 a pair w/t 64 cc chamber 1.94 int. 1.5 ext.

They also have Iron heads w/t 2.02 or 2.05 vlvs for $355.00 each.

Everyone is always trying to find a cheaper way to find some extra horses, this looks like a good place to look into for heads.

I dunno, sometimes if a deal is too good, it isn't a good deal.
For that sort of money I don't see that you could be getting much more than a low-end rebuild.
You might check with Indy cylinder heand (Aero). They do real nice work but I don't have an addy for them. Google it....

I'd like to see some reviews on how some of these heads performed for a budget build setup... or at least someone who has used them, that can speak up for the quality- because those seem like some damn good deals

Went to the link but couldn't find where they claimed those High Swirls were aluminum.

Those high swirl heads are iron and are also known for being the junk heads that came on only 86 mustangs. You would loose performance swapping to the high swirl heads. They were designed for emissions only, not for performance.

The gt40p heads seem like a pretty good deal though. I would get the exhaust side ported out a little bit but they would make some decent power. But they are also iron.

Those thumper heads do sound pretty good. I am familiar with the location. I will get one of my Navy Buds to check it out for me.
