Idleing High

i was racing a cobra and missed a gear (i was spraying a 100 shot) well my car blew the air pipe off of the air filter and now it is idleing between 1500 and 2500 rpms. any ideas? ......idle air maybe?

also i forgot to add the guy behind me said it dumped so black smoke if that changes anything but there is no smoke now

did it back-fire? if so, look at the TB plate. it could be bent, it would ack just like turning up the idle high.

i have it fixed now it was the idle air but yea it did backfire and the first thing i did was check the butterfly...it was fine....thanx for all the help though...
