Default clutch cable question

Can one just put a firewall adjuster on any cable, or do you have to get the whole "adjustable cable"

Your going to have to get a new cable. Im almost positive. The stock cable is only adjustable at the quadrant, and thats if your have a stock quadrant. I would order an adjustable cable (firewall) and a matchin billet quadrant. I kno a lot of aftermarket companies sell them as a kit. I got mine from Anderson Racing. Its not a firewall adjuster, but a normal adjustable one at the fork.

I think you can put a firewall adjuster on any cable, but you have to get rid of the stock quadrant.

thats why I wanted to just get the firewall adjuster. I already have a Steeda quadrant.

It looked like to me that the firewall adjuster could be used on any cable as it just is really a spacer to take some slack out.

So I will be okay with just getting the adjuster if I already have an aftermarket quadrant?
