any ideas about the electrical??? painless doesnt have a kit for my car, which means im gunna have to dive in ***** deep.... signals are shorting, headlight switch keeps fryin, melted harnesses under steering column... previous owner couldnt drive at night anymore, ran markers, tail head and fog lights to fused toggle... no dash lights, fuses blowin left and right...thinkin about running new more solid ground from fuse box, replacing all bad harnesses, saudering everything back in place... if anybody has had similar problems w/ electrical id love some input... thanks again guys

Should just get a wiring harness off ebay for a 89+ car so you can have a MAF while you're at it, probably cost you $500 with a new dash cluster and MAF sensor and computer when all's said and done... only need a computer and maf if you stick with 89

^ i agree your better off buying a repair manual with all the electrical diagrams, buting a new 89 + harness and swapping it all out, start fresh

Aha don't worry, I hate Fords more than anybody, but Mustangs they did right, Im a chevy guy too. Anyways, you never gap platinum plugs, they come pre-gapped. Are you sure you got the right plugs for the application? What do you mean plug wires? You mean what kind? I personally like Taylor wires, they have to be cut to length though which requires a special tool that looks like a wire crimper/stripper, there's a good do it yourself job for you if you like right there. You can route the wires however you want and make your engine bay nice n' clean
