Default Vibration at Idle

95 GT W/auto trans... There is a loud vibration when at idle that seems to come from the transmission area. Almost sounds like the transmission filter is vibrating against the bottom pan. It's a very tinny sound. This has been going on for a long time but seems to be getting worse lately. I'm afraid to bring into a Transmission shop for fear they want to rebuild. BTW this is the 3rd transmission (and best yet) on this car, all by Ford.
Thanks.

There isn't a throw out bearing on an Automatic tranny. I'd check your tranny mount. Could be your flywheel too.... but the only way to check that is to drop the tranny.

Thanks, I had the harmonic balancer replaced just recently. That was definitely noticeable. I should add this vibration now is more noise then actually felt.
