Default Good emissions compatible build

Just like the title says what would be a good emissions build. I live in Las Vegas and its just as bad as cali. Would a crate motor/blower be good. I know some stuff is not available and I don't wanna waste cash on getting stuff that I couldn't put on without passing smog.

YOu only really need to worry about swapping cams and taking off' the cats to fail a sniff test. Otherwise a blower would be the easiest swap, and probably the best bang for the buck if you think about all the other parts you could throw at your motor. A blower on a stock car will act like a stock car untill you really get in the gas, and your emissions will be fine.

If you have the loot, I'd just go with a blower. I myself already have most every naturaly aspirated part part on my motor. Big natural aspirated cams required to make big naturaly aspirated horsepower are stinky and will fail the sniffer misserably. There's no emissons in Michigan but my cam will burn your eyes and stink up your clothes if you stand around the car idling for to long. I do run an off road X, but my cam has a lot of overlap so there's no way it would ever pass.

A blower would be the easiest 1 time wrench fest, and you would be so happy. Thereafter, any other motor part will enhance the blower that much more.

I want a Turbo!

Thanks, but what type of heads are safe? I'm thinking about getting the gt40 crate engine and a kenne bell blower? Is it also ok to remove all the smog stuff under the hood?
