look on your door sticker and if the axle letter is W then you have 3.73, if its M you have 2.73.... it's possible they are 3.73, easy way to check is pull your speedo gear ont he side of the tranny and count how many teeth it has if its more than 19 they are 3.73's most likely it will be a 21 or 23 tooth gear

you have a non-locking 7.5 rear end with a 3.73:1 rear end...a 5.0 should destroy it. No 5.0 came with a 3.73 stock after 1985

so whats all this "spin the wheel and count how many times the driveshaft rotates thing?? they are telling me in the 4 section that it should spin 3 , almost 4 times if its a 3.73 so is that wrong? and the other guy (7upedition) said i should have more than 19 teeth on the speedo gear, so im not sure whats what...and yeah i plan on getting a tbird 8.8 disc brake rear before i get a 351

they are right, perhaps, you didn't count the tire rotation correctly

if its a 7.5" rearend from an 85 or older v8 car or any year 4cyl it may have 3.73's. they were common in 4cyls. if it was from a newer 5.0 car (86+) than it did not come with 3.73's factory.

v8's didnt come with 3.73 in the fox era, early v8's with 7.5s got 3.23s at best, 3.73's are very common in 4cyl automatic cars.

look at the door tag and under ax it should have a letter, not a number
