DYNO RESULTS!!!!!!!!!
Okay today we went to the dyno..........I cant post picks of my actual Dyno Jet Sheets because the resolution on my camera blows..........
This my set up....... 1989 Stock (Heads, Cam and U/L Intakes) 5.0 with bolt ons and 120,000 miles.......
-Powerdyne 6 PSI Supercharger
-Nitrous Express 24 Jet Dry Shot
-BBK 70 MM Throttle Body
-BBK Ceramic Shorties
-BBK H-pipe With Hollow Corvette Cats
-Magnaflow Straight Flow Mufflers
-K&N Filtercharger
-Walbro 255 lph In Tank Fuel Pump
-FRPP Plug Wires
-Energy Engine And Tranny Mounts
-Stock T-5 With B&M Ripper Short Throw W/Activation Button
Yesterday I had to get smogged........so I took the colder plugs out and put stock plugs in...and I ran 87 in it.........my initial timing is set at 7 degrees........
Today I dyno-ed it at 8 am...and it was 61 degees outside .........it was cold this morning for some reason........all runs were done at 6 psi of boost.
Run 1. 7 degrees IT (initial timing), all motor........265 rwph @ 5500 rpm..........
Run 2. Same timing, disconnected the FMU......all motor 273 rwhp @ 5400 rpm........
Run 3. Same timing, reconnected the FMU, Nitrous with 24 jet......278 rwhp @ 4200 rpm......let off.....she was knocking and pinging........
With running the 87 in her.....was causing the knocking and pinging.....so I said no more nitrous......lets bump the timing up...to 10 IT.
Run 4. 10 IT, all motor.........276 rwph @ 5500 rpm.........
Yesterday I picked up a another 89 long block...so I thought what the hell drop the timing and grab the nitrous again.....if I blow it up...then I have the other long block waiting.....and I have the time to do the swap..........
We dropped the timing to 5 degrees IT......and this what she ran.........
Run 5. 5 IT, FMU, and Nitrous.............298 rwhp....@5000 rpm...and 349 fpt....@3600....and she threw the blower belt..........
Not bad.....I still had 400 to 500 rpms left in the powerband....but oh well...............
With the colder plugs back in...and 91 in the tank....I should be able to bump the timing....put the 30 jet in and maybe pick up 20 more hp.
So the small nitrous shot was good for 33 hp before the belt threw and got shredded......I think I still had another 13-15 hp left in the powerband.......
Best part of the story.........I went to Napa got a new belt...and now I see 7 LBS of boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn I wish I had got my car dyno-ed when it just had the bolt ons and 150 shot of nitrous.............
Not a bad day............

its only 6psi.... and with a good setup... other than the smo legal crap that sux.... i wouldnt doubt close to 300rwhp with a tiny shot(no offense) and a blower running that low seems good to me.. Not to mention that he has not major engine work done and thats just simple bolt ons.... do u mind if i ask how much you setup cost??? car looks great... and i dont like white cars so its a major complement coming come me hehe
you will want more nitrous too,
running a dry shot on a supercharged engine is a bad idea since the fmu raises fuel pressure and so does a dry kit. and to use nitrous you need at least 91 octane fuel.

Thanks for the responses...........
It was a good day..........I ran it hard last night at the street races. So it has about 1/4 of a tank of fuel left....Tomorrow it will get the colder plugs and 91 again.
Black Snake........I know a good HCI will but even better.......I was thinking Trick Flow Track Heat Intake, Comps Cams Blower Cam, and AFR 185 Heads.....should be good to 400+ rwhp. Who knows.......and we with the speed chart.....my car all motor put out about 180 hp.....and the first dyno pull yeild 265....so the blower put out 85 hp with 6 psi. That is 14.1 hp per pound of boost. Now she is putting out 7 psi.......
Crazy Cobra Speed......Thanks for the comp......I have heard alot of bad stuff about Powerdynes. I bought mine because they are made 45 mins from my house, they give you a 3 year warrant, and by far it is the quietest blower made. Shipped from Jegs it was 1710.10 to my door......however the you can get a vortech for 1880......just look for it.
Silver91gt.......I know all about nitrous but thanks for the concern........

With 7 psi and he updates he throws in a good h/c/i combo I would guess about 130-140rwhp... Think about it. If a trikflow setup adds approx about 100rwhp (with supporting mods) think about what it would add considering its supercharged!
