**** happens bro. When you buy a used car you are paying for a car as-is

If you didn't know that then maybe you should have a bought a brand new car with warranty.

Word, it's not the previous owners fault.

+1 on the 351w swap.

Did you put it in a forward gear when bump-starting it?

Man ive never even heard of bumpstarting a car in reverse, can you really do that successfully?

And you can def. still sell it, there are tons of people out there that want a great looking fox body that they can throw their built motor in to... the one guys that just burned is looking for a fox body w/o a motor.

Where you located??? I won't mind another car that needs a motor sitting in my driveway. It will give me something to do when I'm bored. I need a street car anyway, manual steering and brakes was getting on my nerves.

Curious on this too. I have bumpstarted in reverse...but it feels harder than bumpstarting in forward roll 2nd.

I forgot which car it was that you could push it backwards and start the engine and the engine would be spinning backwards....(i think only 2 strokes do that though)

The engine won't spin backward if you do it in reverse, if you push it backwards in a foward gear, then you may have a problem there.

BTW, sorry about your loss

So, what gear were you in? Even if it were in reverse, I'd think that a) it would just blow the trans, and b)it wouldn't really even run anyway.
