Help with headers....

Okay so I found out from the shop that is doing the headers that is a leaking collector.... he said that he is getting a new one on Monday so the intial install took almost two weeks!!!!
Back to the ETR issue they are capping it off now but it is the forums suggestion to take the factory piece to lowes and get what exactly?
Maybe I will have this new shop that is doing the gas try and fabricate something for me while the car is there (if they cannot bypass the EGR at the computer)
