well i had another thread talkin about my fuel pump and how its always priming. well i ran the computer today and it saying something about purging the injectors.

car has spark and fuel.. just not together. sprayed some starting fluid in the intake and it fired right up

my mechanic says the computer is junk. technicaly if it was junk, wouldn't the codes its throwing be junk too? its kind of weird since the car ran perfect. one day it just wouldnt fire...

what do you guys think?

 

my computer says C3W i thought mustangs came with A9L's

it is a 1993 5.0L automatic

can I use an A9P computer? does it use the same hookups?

 

looks like im goin with a A9P ecu

the C3W is too hard to find and was only made in '93 and never used again..

ive heard the A9P is more aggresively tuned

anyway back to my original question.. would a bad ECU cause my problem? (no start)
