Flowmaster 40 series seem to be the favourite among 5.0 stanger, little restriction and nice deep throaty sound, Xpipes sound nice, H sounds deeper and meaner.</P>

I have H pipes that sound awesome but would give it up for a bassani X -- just seems to have a little better ooomph....then again, it could be in my head. </P><edited><editID>WhiteHawk</editID><editDate>37839.5094097222</editDate></edited>

A good combination for that car is an off road h-pipe with any two chamber muffler(flowmaster, mac, whatever). It will be liveable for around town driving and will come alive and make some noise in the high r's.

I have MAC shorty 1 5/8 headers, a mac h pipe (w/ no cats) and 40 series flowmasters. It sounds glorious. It's loud. One thing to remember though are the emissions standards in most states. I live in a state that has no such law (that I am aware of ) there arent even inspections. If you run into that problem you can get High flow cats that will make you okay for emissons but not rob you of too much power.
