Default Guys I have a problem:

Check this out.......
I had my headers put on last week and got back the car yesterday. Car runs awesome UNTIL this morning when the car started running very slugishly and had trouble accelerating. Then I heard a POP and saw my air filter in the road. When i popped the hood I saw that the Pipe had shot off of the TB and the air filter came off (as mentioned earlier). I then proceeded to put it all back together with new hose clamps. The car started up and I made it home... problem is that the car idles fine but is really hesitating when given some gas in any gear.... like it is bogging down. I will check the plug wires when i get home and I have already check for vacuum leaks but what else can you think of??
Also so you know:
1. EGR is capped off
2. H pipe has a broken hanger but not bad
3. Just replaced spark plugs
4. car ran good last night

Please help
Kevin

well since you just got exhaust work done, i would make sure your 02 sensors are plugged in and the wires arent touching anything that would melt them or pinch them, if that stuff is ok, see if there are any codes in the computer.

Quick guess but sounds more like the timing has jumped Were you "on it" when this happened? how many miles on the motor, if over 100k, timing chain ever replaced? also the lovely little Bronze gear on the bottom of the dist is known for issues as well. or the distributer could be loose. If it is, just make sure to pull the spout connector when timing it. With the Intake tube blowing off, that was more than likely caused by a back fire, rare but do happen. and you saying it runs good at idle sounds like classic jumped timing. I could be wrong, but that was my gut reaction.

you need the egr to work! you have to put the egr back on. your car will not run right without the egr. especially if its a 94 or sn95. those computers are VERY picky.

Plus the EGR can tell the computer to advance the timing a few degree's electronically.

did you check your spark plug wires to see if any of them melted to the header and now they could possibly be arcing off the header. best way to check is wait until nighttime and have your car idiling open the hood and look around to see if you can see any arcing. not sure if this is it cause i am not there to look at it, but that is whats happened to me after i got new headers.

Okay guys I looked at the car last night and I found a spark plug wire that was loose, but as I drove it ... It runs really good but it will still hesitate some. So.. I took it to a weilding shop and they are making a piece to go to the header to the EGR. I will see what happens afterwards. ALso do you think that me using 87 octane is contributing to my problem??
